If Claire had actually been drinking, she would have choked on it or spit it out. She knew she would have. Hearing how much this man knew was disturbing, not to mention a little bit of a problem if he wanted to use it against her. How could he know so much and she know nothing about him? And, too, it was odd hearing her life and family summed up so neatly and snarkily. All true, of course, every word he said, but she hated to admit that.
