Adam nodded, giving her another slow smile. "Born and bred here, though I haven't been back in a while. It's changed, even since the last time I was here, but the historical places are, of course, where they always were, and I've been learning the new places of interest, myself."

He watched her for a moment, one finger tapping on his lower lip. "I could show you around sometime, if you like. Even the best of friends need some time apart." He cast a glance over her shoulder toward the girls she'd come in with.
