He made it all sound so simple. A reason for everything. And he was very convincing. A part of her wanted to be suspicious, but another wanted to accept him as a good guy and leave it. She'd never heard of him, but there were valid reasons. Nobody told her anything, anyway.
"I've never exactly been in the loop." Except when she found or overheard something she wasn't supposed to. "You had a fight over a girl?" She was a bit amused by this, because she thought it was ridiculous. But then, she didn't have much experience in dating or anything of the sort, so she really couldn't judge.
