I just want to say thank you to everyone who nominated me and mine for Tammy Awards this go around. I love playing and writing with each and every one of you, and it means so much to be thought of, especially when I feel like I've been particularly scattered and absent lately. From the silly noms (Adam running from Zombie Killer Alien Demon Kittehs, what?) to the serious, really touching ones (The Writer/Roleplayer Who Best Represents Their Fandom, Most Diverse Writer of Multiple Muses, Overall Fandom Writer of the Year) the nominations have really made my otherwise really gloomy, stressful week, and made me smile when I was feeling like crying.

That people took the time to go back and nominate prompts of mine and RP threads of mine--digging back to find some that were really old, and remembered them, and that you guys loved Baileigh & Sark's wedding so much means a great deal. I literally teared up to see the prompts and threads there, so thank you. I put a lot in my writing and to know it's enjoyed is a wonderful feeling.

I want to congratulate all of the nominees, as well, because every single one of you deserves every nomination. I play with an amazing group of people, and I'm blessed to do so. Thank you for each of you being you and brightening my life with your talent and your generosity in sharing it. You guys rock my world. Thank you for being you, and congratulations to each and every one of you. *loves*

Now, go forth and vote! Even if you didn't want to be nominated/missed sign-ups you can still vote. I'm not campaigning, here--there are far too many amazing people also nominated. Go vote for who you truly love--but let them know you love them and spread the love. :-D

My one bit of campaigning

Most of y'all know how I feel about the campaigning. I don't do it. Sure, the Most Diverse Writer of Multiple Muses and Best Writing in RP mean a LOT to me and I would LOVE to win them (ok, that was a little campaigning) and the Dysfunctional Family and one of the Gay Couples of the Year for either of my pairings that's up for it (Adam/Peter or Mohinder/Sylar) would be awesome, but I'm not going to do posters or put up a bunch of links to tell you why I should win them. You've been reading along or not and you think I should win or not, and all the other people nominated are awesome and the other writers up for writing awards are AMAZING writers and I'm honored to be included among them, so I'm certainly not going to campaign to tell you to vote for me over them, no matter how much I'd love to win.

But I am going to campaign a bit for Most Giving, Honorable Roleplayer for wishingwillow because of every single name up there, she deserves it most, in my opinion. Not knocking the others up there--several of whom are my friends and one of whom I've known for a decade. They're amazing, giving people and deserving the nomination. But Megs is the girl who will welcome a new player into any game and make them feel at home and like they've been there forever. It doesn't matter who you write, who the PB is, if you're a popular player or a popular character or if her character wants to get with your character or if she as a player thinks your character is hot or not. It doesn't matter if she knows your fandom or not. It doesn't matter if she knows you or not. It doesn't matter if your fandom's the IN fandom right now or not. She will reach out and she will make you feel welcome. She gives like nobody's business, often to the detriment of herself. She rides through the wank and drama with a grace I can only hope to one day emulate. I have never seen her get involved in it, even when being personally attacked in awful ways. She rises above and goes on. She might cry in private, but in public, she keeps smiling and never sinks to that level. Only those of us closest to her ever know if she's even got the slightest problem with someone, and, hell, even those of us closest to her occasionally know that, and that's something exceptionally rare in the RP-world. She is an amazing person, an amazing RPer. She takes care with every prompt, pouring herself into it, and takes equal care with every single thread she does, making sure to give her partner the best of herself and her character, never shortchanging them. It has been an honor and a joy to write with her these past few years and a privilege to call her friend and so, that's my campaigning for this year. :-D
