Luke Skywalker should be shot.
The constant whining is annoying.
ooc: Mun's stuck at airport after flight delays and cancellations. Adam felt the need to alleviate my boredom.

Date: 2007-12-19 10:09 pm (UTC)Hello, Rachel. I'm Adam. It's nice to meet you.

Date: 2007-12-19 10:13 pm (UTC)I think maybe they were trying to show his growth, through his training? He goes from whiny brat to big strong man, or something. Though I gotta agree with that other gentleman, up above--don't watch anything Mr. Lucas made later. I think he got greedy. They're not up to par with the other films.

Date: 2007-12-19 10:14 pm (UTC)Well, showing growth is a good thing to do through an arc of a story. Right now his tone is grating on my nerves and I breathe a sigh of relief every time we switch to someone else. I will keep the admonition in mind and avoid the others, I think.

Date: 2007-12-19 10:18 pm (UTC)It is a good growth thing he goes through. I mean, by the time the third movie comes around, he's totally a different man.
At least Mr. Lucas got one thing right, when he went back and made those really bad prequels? Luke's daddy was a big whiner too. Maybe it was genetic?

Date: 2007-12-19 10:28 pm (UTC)Is he? Promise me that, Rachel, or I don't think I can survive getting through them.
Well, some attitudes do seem to pass down, even when fathers and sons do not meet until adulthood, so perhaps you're right.

Everybody makes me nervous, please don't take it personally, Adam. I mean. Until I get to know them.
But I promise Luke gets better. By the time he comes back in the third movie? He's all serious, right? He's wearing black and he doesn't crack a smile and he strikes all these heroic poses. No more whining. You've got my word on that.

Date: 2007-12-21 04:22 am (UTC)Well, then, you'll just have to get to know me so you're less nervous.
I approve of the black and the not-whining. I'm not sure how I feel about the heroic poses.

Date: 2007-12-21 04:32 am (UTC)Well... goofy heroic poses are still better than whining, right? So overall it's a gain.

Date: 2007-12-21 05:01 am (UTC)That's a very good point.

Date: 2007-12-21 05:06 am (UTC)I'm sure your schedule's a lot busier than mine, right? So I don't know when we could like, meet or anything. But I'll keep in touch. If that's okay.

Date: 2007-12-21 06:59 am (UTC)It is, but I rarely sleep much, so I can always find time to fit things in. Are you coming to the holiday party at the Civic Center?

Date: 2007-12-21 07:12 am (UTC)Um. I didn't know there was a party. I was going to go to the church services.
