They killed her husband? Why? Were they not friends? Was he not important to them?

I don't know that they did? But he had become a liability, and that is what they do to liabilities. And it would serve as a warning to keep her in line, if she was thinking of stepping out.

These people. You needed better ones. You needed friends. People who go along better than they did.
