1. For Jack -- An old phonograph, still in perfect working condition, that Adam had stored in the warehouse in Montreal, along with a complete collection of Glen Miller and Frank Sinatra records. The note on these reads simply, "Sometimes the old ways of listening are still the best." In addition, there is a small box. Folded in there is a photograph of Adam, standing before King George VI of England. Underneath it is a medal in the shape of a cross, suspended on a crimson ribbon. Jack, given his history with the British military, should recognize it as a Victoria Cross, the highest award for Valor given by the British. On the back of the suspension bar is engraved "Captain Adam Monroe, 1st Parachute Regiment, 1st Airborne Division", and in the center circle on the back of the medal are the dates "September 18-September 20, 1944." Under the medal is another note: "I want you to hold on to this, as a reminder that I do have it in me to be the man you thought I was when we met. With hope, Adam."
2. For Hiro -- Adam's been collecting things through the years he wanted to give to Hiro eventually, based on little things he let slip--words that meant nothing to Kensei, but ring bells for Adam as things appear on the market. Now that he has a chance to finally give it to him, Hiro's present ends up being a rather hodge-podge collection: "The Adventures of Obadiah Oldbuck" from 1837--the first comic book ever published, very carefully preserved; Detective Dan, Secret Operative No. 48 from 1933--featuring Dan Dunn, the granddaddy of American comic book heroes; Action Comics #1 from 1938--the first comic book appearance of Superman; a very early still complete anime reel from 1910 that he stole from a cinema that was going to disassemble it and sell it in strips after showing; a framed copy of the first Sazae-san strip from the April 22, 1946, Hasegawa local paper, Fukunichi Shimbun; and a very old, hand-written in kanji on a well preserved-scroll, copy of the legends of Takezo Kensei--the ones Yaeko told, the ones Hiro grew up hearing and told her and Kensei--there is no author's signature, though if Hiro ever sees Adam write anything in kanji, the hand will be very familiar. The only note reads, "Merry Christmas, Carp. Kensei"

not_myfirstday) -- Two round-trip, first class tickets from Paris to Athens, then two weeks booked in a Honeymoon Suite at the Santorini Princess on Santorini, with full spa treatment included at the spa, plus a leisurely itinerary for seeing the island, ending with a two week Mediterranean cruise. A note attached reads: "A very old friend once told me that Santorini was the most romantic, most magical place in the world. I thought we should take some time and find out for ourselves at the start of a New Year and a new life. Merry Christmas. Love, Adam."
4. For Elle (stinglikeabitch - Eden 'Verse) -- He resists, very nobly, decorating a nursery as a gift, thinking she might have a tantrum and hurt him for that. Instead, he raids the library for every back issue of Cosmopolitan he can find, boxing them all up and wrapping them. He also manages to find a Slusho machine and instructions on how to get it to work, including the ingredients and mixes and has it installed in the mansion's kitchen, with a big bow around it and a note directing her downstairs to find it. On the machine is a note: "It's the little things we all miss, and I wanted to give one back to you. Love, Adam."
5. For Peter (Bothmybrothershadow and youngerpetrelli) -- A Nintendo Wii, figuring that Peter hasn't had much time for games. It's left at the warehouse and flat in Montreal, with a locked message left on Adam's journal telling him it's there: "I don't know when you'll think its safe, or if you'll even accept anything from me at this point, but I didn't know where else to send it that wouldn't be watched. It's silly, probably, but I thought, after everything, you could use something fun and completely normal. The salesperson assured me this was all the rage and just the thing. I hope you enjoy. Adam."
6. For Nathan (Bothvote4nathan and notacargojet) -- A single bottle in an heirloom case of Glenfiddich 50-year-old, the single most expensive whiskey every auctioned. It's sent with a note:
Forvote4nathan, the note reads: "For a fellow connoisseur, something every one who loves whiskey should try at least once. Merry Christmas. Adam.
Fornotacargojet, the note is left unsigned (in the hopes he won't pour the 5000GBP whiskey OUT) and reads: "I have it on good authority that this is one of the last bottles in existence. Enjoy it in the best of health."
7. For Angela -- A new mink coat is delivered to the house in New York, with a note: "To replace what you lost in spending the holidays with me. Love, Adam." Also included is a little blue box with a Tiffany fleur de lis pendant inside, with the note: "Because for me, you will always sparkle. Adam."
8. For Rachel -- A German Shepherd puppy, bow around its neck and all, with a note: "Because everyone needs something to come home to, and I'll feel better about your being out and about with protection. -- Adam"
9. For Micah -- A box of first issues of his favorite comic books, left wrapped with a ridiculous amount of bows, under an actual tree he brings in and decorates downstairs on Christmas Eve. There's also a lot of warm clothes and something muttered about growing boys. And jacks.
10. For the Rani -- A katana and wakizashi, both fully functional (not souvenir pieces) and very old, but pristinely cared for. A note starts to explain their use by the samurai and the meaning of the culture, then defaults to telling her to read several older books, included in the gift, on the subject that are not sensationalized. The note concludes: "I know you worry about Byron and the world he inhabits. These will help you protect him, if you must, if you can learn to use them properly. The katana was the first sword I learned and has been my preferred weapon for many years, despite an affair with the Spanish rapier and dagger. We always return to our first loves, no? If you will permit me, I can teach you to use them to keep yourself and him safe from those that might come. We have time, you and I, and it would be my honor. Respectfully, Adam."
