Please. I can justify anything I choose to. Call this what I will bother with justifying:

1. Killing Kaito Nakamura
2. Killing Harry Fletcher
3. Killing Paula Gramble
4. Killing Carlos Mendez
5. Killing Victoria Pratt
6. Killing whatshername.
7. My plans to kill Bob Bishop.
8. My attack on Angela Petrelli.
9. Forming the Company.
10. My using Maury Parkman.
11. Using Peter to escape.
12. My plans for the virus.
13. Seducing Elle.
14. Joining with White Beard. (I'm feeling nostalgic. Might as well toss it in.)
15. Drugging Hiro.
16. Marrying Yaeko's great-grand daughter.
17. Asking Claire to move in. (Not that needs justification, but I can and will should I be called upon to do so).
18. My arrangement and friendship with Sylar.
19. My school plans.
20. Anything else you feel the need to fucking question me on.

I know. Most of them...you are missing but little, but I do feel sad that jumping ahead like this you will not know Angelica and Diane.

I don't think I'd go back, knowing what awaited me in the past, even if I will never know either of them. The losses outweigh the gains, from what you've told me.

That much is certain. You would have to suffer through rather a great deal of inanity and yet more betrayal (stupid bint in the 50s who just wanted my money) that really, as lovely as they were, they do not make up for.

Oh, others stand out, just not overly positively. There was Helene, who joined a convent after declaring me a demon for our ability. And Maria, who, bless her, did give us two sons, but whom we had to leave. Frederica kept using poisoned makeup and died less than 2 years after we were wed. Another Maria, whom the Yankees killed. Lovely girl, but, again, the marriage was short lived. Louisa drank herself to death after seeing me heal from a gunshot wound. Theresa had me murdered for my money. And Trina...the marriage was only six months long when Hiro's father threw me in that cell. She...I did love her, but there was little time to tell how it would go.

Perhaps Diane and Angelica stand out for their longevity and acceptance of me as I was.

Suddenly bachelorhood is seeming all too appealing... If there is one thing I can say for this time, it's that that particular aspect of living has been made simple.

But there's always the chance that I will, companionship or not. We may see eye to eye with each other, but that does not mean either of us do the same with the world, which is where the problem lies.
